Personal Pronouns

A pronoun is a word used instead of a noun.

I am a student.             We are soldiers.

You are a driver.           He is a police man.

We are teachers.            She is an actress.

You are doctors.             It is a pen.

They are pilots.


Personal Pronouns


I, You, We, They, He, She, It, are called personal pronouns because they stands for the three persons.

First person is the person speaking (I, We).

  -I am a student in grade “7”.

  - We are workers in group “A”

Second person is the person spoken to. (You)

-You are a footballer.

Note:  “You” is used both in the singular and plural.

You are a student.

You are all students.
